Student Worship Academy

Chaperone Registration

CHAPERONE POLICY

We require one gender-specific chaperone for up to five students of that gender from your church. If you are sending male and female students, we expect that you will be sending male and female chaperones. See FAQs for more information.

What We Ask

Chaperone

Your Protection of Students

We place the highest priority on keeping our students safe while attending the Student Worship Academy. As a chaperone, we expect you to be responsible for the students coming from your church or organization. After you register, you will be sent requests for personal information so that we can have a background check performed on you. You will also be required to complete a Sexual Abuse Awareness Training to be well-informed and able to protect yourself and your students. Both of these services will be completed by MinistrySafe.

Chaperone

Your Participation in Service

In order for this camp to be the best it can be, we invite you to get as involved as you would like. If you have any gifts for teaching, hospitality, or community-building, we have ways for you to serve not only your students, but also connect with people from other churches and organizations.

Foster Chaperone

Taking responsibility for additional students who are coming to the camp but were unable to find a chaperone from their church.

Family Group Leader

Discipling a small group of students of the same age and gender throughout the week, facilitating discussion, accountability, and community.

Dorm Dean

Being available to students in case of emergencies in the dormitory overnight, ensuring students are in their rooms and safe after lights out.

Elective Teacher

Teaching a one-hour breakout session on a special topic for students within worship, leadership, discipleship, or anything you think students would benefit from learning.

Cost

The cost per chaperone is $199, which covers all camp expenses from Monday check-in to the Night of Worship on Friday, including:

  • 14 meals
  • 4 nights of lodging
  • 1 camp t-shirt

Payment

You can pay the full $199 for your spot up front, or pay a deposit of at least $100, paying the remaining balance of up to $99 by May 31.
